Winter Volleyball Clinics

Ditch the off-season rust and get back on the court. Our West Coast Impact Winter Clinics are designed for players who want to sharpen their technical foundation through high-intensity training and high-volume reps.

Ages

Appropriate players will be at least 6th-8th grade for junior high and 9th-12 for high school.

When

Winter Clinics begin February 9th and are offered through March 23.

Where

Clinics will be held at Faith Lutheran School. 4000 San Juan Ave, Fair Oaks, CA 95628.

  • High School 6:30-8:00 pm.

2/9 Jr Hi: S/R & Defense

Start time:  5:00 PM to 6:30 PM

Designed for junior high players building their foundation serve-receive and defensive foundations.   This clinic focuses on stabilizing your platform and developing the court awareness needed to read the server and your opponent before the play happens.  You’ll get high reps on serve-receive and defense, transforming your defensive game into a controlled, purposeful pursuit.   Turn every play into a hustle and build confidence to ensure no ball hits the floor without a fight.

2/9 HS: S/R& Defense

6:30-8:00 PM

This clinic is a deep dive into the technical precision of platform control and the relentless grit required to own the back court. Through high-volume reps and aggressive pursuit drills, you will refine your passing mechanics while cultivating a "ball-never-hits-the-floor" defensive identity. Bridge the gap between simply passing a served ball to the technical skill and unstoppable hustle that defines elite defenders.

Learn back-row dominance by anticipating attacks and reacting with explosive movement. This high-intensity clinic focuses on reading and perfecting aggressive floor techniques including introduction to controlled dives and sprawls.

6:30-8:00 pm

Elevate your defensive IQ by mastering the art of anticipation and floor coverage. This session focuses on decoding hitter intentions while refining advanced recovery techniques like the sprawls, dives, pancakes to keep the ball alive.

3/2 Jr Hi: Defense & the Block

5:00 pm-6:30 pm

Build a relentless team defense by mastering the connection between aggressive net play and back-row coverage. This clinic teaches players how to coordinate effective blocks with disciplined floor positioning to eliminate gaps and achieve a total court lock down.

6:30-8:00 PM

Take your defensive to the next level by working on to improve the block and the back-row pursuit. This session focuses on teaching players how to close seams at the net and strategically funnel attacks into the "lock down" zone for a better back row defense.

Develop the fundamental mechanics needed for a powerful, controlled attack and ball contact. This clinic emphasizes footwork and great ball to hand contact.

Elevate your offensive game by mastering the balance between raw terminal power and strategic shot selection. This clinic focuses on increasing vertical explosion and arm swing velocity while training players to exploit defensive gaps through intentional placement.

Turn out-of-system plays into offensive opportunities by learning how to adjust your approach and swing.  This clinic focuses on out of system hitting footwork and smart shot-making, teaching players how to hit even when the play isn't perfect.

Transform chaotic plays into points by mastering out-of-system transition footwork and high-IQ ball placement. This clinic challenges hitters to maintain aggressive terminal swings on imperfect sets.

Take command of the court by refining high-speed hand release, neutral posture, and quick footwork.  This clinic focuses on precision placement, teaching setters how to run a faster offense and make smart, tactical "bettered" balls from anywhere on the floor.
